Building the US team

Delmonte International is a growth and creative marketing consultancy working with e-commerce and consumer brands in the United States and internationally. We are establishing our US operation from Nashville, Tennessee.

Our service model runs on measurement. Client campaign performance is modelled, tested and optimised through analytical systems we build and operate ourselves rather than buy off the shelf. That work sits with one role.

Business Intelligence Analyst

Nashville, Tennessee. Full-time, 40 hours per week. Reports to the Managing Member.

This position develops and implements the techniques and analytics applications that turn raw client marketing data into decision-ready intelligence.

What the role does

  • Builds and maintains our marketing data infrastructure: automated pipelines pulling from advertising platforms, web analytics, e-commerce systems, CRM and email and SMS platforms into a central warehouse, plus the data models, schemas, validation rules and API integrations underneath it
  • Develops statistical models for marketing measurement, covering multi-touch attribution, media mix, customer lifetime value and forecasting, and applies data mining and machine learning methods to large structured and unstructured datasets
  • Runs controlled experiments, including A/B and geo-holdout incrementality tests, using the experimental approach agreed with the Managing Member, and determines sample sizes and significance thresholds
  • Scripts and deploys analytics applications and automation for campaign measurement, budget pacing, anomaly detection and reporting, and builds internal tools in Python, SQL and JavaScript
  • Builds client-facing dashboards and dynamic reports, and presents quantitative findings to client stakeholders alongside the Managing Member
  • Maintains our documentation, testing and data-quality practices, recording data definitions, model assumptions and validation results so that analyses are reproducible

What the role requires

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or a closely related quantitative discipline. This is a minimum for entry, because the duties are the practical application of that body of knowledge: systems design and analysis, statistical modelling, experimental design, numerical methods and software-based automation
  • A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, or a closely related quantitative role
  • Working ability to build data systems and write production scripts in at least two of Python, SQL and JavaScript
  • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical methods, including regression, hypothesis testing and experimental design, to real commercial data

Salary: $100,000 per year.
